Dual-Polarized Rectifying Metasurface for 2.45GHz Band

In this paper, we present a dual-polarized rectifying metasurface designed for far-field wireless power transmission and energy harvesting at 2.45 GHz band. The proposed rectifying metasurface is a double-sided structure, where the front and back sides consist of metasurface unit cells and rectifying circuits, respectively. The metasurface unit cell is a diagonally symmetric design that allows reception of vertical and horizontal polarizations. The rectifying circuitry on the back side is linked with the metasurface through a via hole. We verify the proposed rectifying metasurface with numerical simulation. The results show good rectification efficiency for both polarizations.
