Basic Requirements for Metrological Characteristics of Tachographs

The article discusses the types and principles of modern tachographs. The analysis of the tasks to be solved and the economic efficiency of the use of on-board recorders is made. The principles of operation of the units included in the tachographs are determined: the mileage counter, speedometer, clock, closing device and a device that records the opening of the case on the registration sheet. The technical requirements for tachographs installed on vehicles and the procedure for operating flight recorders are analyzed in detail. The article describes the legal framework for the use of electronic tachographs and the requirements for their metrological characteristics.
