Measurement of power-factor and power by means of ammeters, voltmeters and a static condenser

The determination of power and power factor in single-phase circuits, especially at low power-factors, can be obtained by the well-known three-ammeter method. The use of that method is made possible by the introduction of an auxiliary circuit of purely ohmic character.
