Scattering Properties of Microantenna Based on an Array Consisting of Thin Wires

The analytical basis for the modeling the miniature antenna constructed of array of thin metallic wires is presented in paper. The diffraction problem is considered using the asymptotic approach, which foresees getting the explicit formula for the electromagnetic (EM) field components. This allows us to get the simple formula for the radiation pattern (RP) of system and to formulate the optimizing problem on the search of optimal geometry and parameters of antenna. The computational results demonstrate the potential to obtain the RPs of the different form that makes the possible to use of such kind antenna for the different MEMS applications.
