Multi-hypothesis Track Initialization With The Use Of Multiple Trajectory Models

One of the biggest challenges for a tactical ballistic missile (TBM) tracking system is taking into account many possible missile trajectories during the track initialization process. The correct missile type classification of the track hypothesis determines the correctness of further tracking. This paper presents a multi-hypothesis track initialization algorithm (MHTI), as well as an analysis of the initialization efficiency in terms of the track initialization rule.
