Tracking Analysis of Drone Detection Systems at Airports: Methodology and Results

This paper describes the methodology that has been established in the DFS to test Drone Detection Systems (DDS) at airports, as well as the global test results of the test campaign conducted at Frankfurt and Munich airports in summer and autumn 2020 together with Fraport and FMG. The test campaign was part of a feasibility study to evaluate, what small noncooperative UAS current DDS systems today can detect and track at large infrastructures like airports, and which limitations exist.
