Performance Evaluation of PEMFC system using hydrogen produced from solar PV panel energy

Three validated models are developed and used, solar PV panel (PV), alkaline electrolysis cell (AE) and a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). These models are integrated together to consist a model system, called Nour generation system (NS). The performance parameters of Nour generation system are evaluated and investigated using numerical model which is built in (Aspen and EES) Software applications. The simulation results indicated, the efficiency of PEMFC is higher than the efficiency of Nour generation system. The advantage of Nour system makes the energy available at the whole day, so it can be used the PV solar panel and PEMFC together at the same time.
