Abstract:

This paper proposal proposes the plan of a competent and efficient medical robot. This robot is called “Baymax”. Baymax is a fictional humanoid robot which has phenomenal strength, amazing surveillance and data analysis capabilities with several basic medical tasks like sensing the temperature of the human body, heart rate scanning and providing remedies to disease by interviewing the patient. The robot can interact with the patient, find the patient's medical history and suggest further treatments. Such robots can be deployed in hospitals, malls, restaurants, cinema halls, railway stations and other public places to reduce the queue and increase productivity. Baymax can be deployed in places where doctors are not available and hence reduce basic health problems. This robot may also serve as a personal companion for general healthcare. A cost effective solution of the same will prove to be of great use in future medical technology. Baymax will be outfitted with scanners and sensors to detect and evaluate external injuries. The proposed design prototype will be based on the dimensions of an average built human being. Once successfully made, this can be extended for more applications like internal injuries.
