Stand for Determining the Forearm Tissues Resistivity in-Vivo

The work is devoted to the development of an experimental test stand for determining the forearm tissues resistivity in-vivo based on a horizontally layered model of electrical impedance signal formation. The experimental stand was assembled to create a precision movement of the electrode assembly, the indentation by 0.15 mm with high accuracy of 1 micron. It allows getting additional independent measurements - two before and two after the indentation of the electrode system. The stand makes insignificant effects on the thickness of the epidermis without breaking the electrode-skin contact. The changes in the electrical impedance due to the indentation by 0.15 mm are about 100 m Ω. The data obtained in further work on the muscle's specific resistance will be used in the finite element model of the electrical impedance signals formation during muscle contraction. Analysis of the processes and parameters affecting the electrical impedance parameters in muscle contraction potentially allows implementing a feedback control proportional to the muscle contraction force and degree.
