A Short Burst Signal Synchronization Algorithm for Rapid On-Off-Division Duplex

This paper combines the technical characteristics of Rapid On-Off-Division Duplex(RODD) system and Time-Frequency Hopping (TFH) system to establish a virtual full-duplex communication model, which is based on short burst signal. To solve the problem of short burst signal synchronization in this model, this paper proposes a frame synchronization algorithm and frequency offset estimation algorithm based on joint estimation. The algorithm, which can obtain high probability of accurate frame synchronization and high-precision frequency offset estimation under full-duplex(FD) communication conditions, is based on auto-correlation calculation and multiple short burst signals cooperative judgment. The simulation results show that the joint estimation algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively solve the synchronization problem in this communication model.
