Defending IEEE Software Standards in Federal Criminal Court

As part of an alarming trend, IEEE Standard 1012 for independent software and hardware verification and validation is under attack in U.S. federal criminal court. If scientists and engineers do not engage, courts will continue to allow unreliable scientific evidence to deprive people of their rights.
