9 Role of Artificial Intelligence Based Wireless Sensor Network for Pandemic Control: A Case Study Using CupCarbon

Occurrence and spread of COVID-19 has posed numerous difficult challenges for the world. At the same time, it has also provided an opportunity for the researchers in various domains to adopt a sustainable approach in fighting the challenge of COVID-19. The present work reports a case study on the use of artificial intelligence based wireless sensor network for pandemic control. The proposed system is simulated in CupCarbon, which is a smart city simulator for different scenarios. The analysis presented in the paper helps to understand the impact of using network algorithms, complexity, and size of the network in mitigating the pandemic spread. Also, it helps the smart city designers to accommodate the tools required for such damage control mechanisms.
