Scientific Substantiation of Topological Diagnostics Methods of Electrical Equipment

The article is a scientific substantiation of new electrical objects diagnostic method. The methods, which have received the general name of topological diagnostics methods, are based on information about the vector space of the object. The objects of research are three-phase asynchronous electric motors and three-phase transformers, united by the technical object (TO) common name. The current state analysis of technical diagnostics of TO is provided. It is stated that the existing methods implement the analytical diagnostics function within a limited set of typical situations. In addition, the existing methods do not implement the predictive diagnostic function, which is in demand in electrical equipment controlling tasks. Topological diagnostics is focused on its implementation. The reliability of the information obtained during the diagnostic examination is substantiated. The basic conditions of the topological diagnostics approach are presented. Topological types are analyzed and models of the main parametric matrices of intact and damaged TO are developed. Their properties and research methods are identified and described. Calculations of eigenvectors and specific magnetizing powers for typical types of undamaged and damaged TO are presented. The following are calculated and discussed: intact TO with a mono-harmonic electromagnetic field, intact TO with a polyharmonic electromagnetic field, transformers with an armored core, damaged TO with a turn of the working area, damaged TO with the decay of the working area. General recommendations for conducting and evaluating the diagnostic examination results are provided.
