Study on Doppler Frequency Offset Estimation Algorithm for High Speed Maglev

In the high-speed maglev scenario, the Doppler frequency offset of wireless communication is large, and the channel is fast time-varying, the existing frequency offset estimation algorithms are difficult to meet the engineering application requirements. This paper proposes a frequency offset estimation algorithm based on 5G PT-RS (Phase Tracking Reference Signal), which utilizes the locally known PT-RS and the received signal to perform two correlation operations to obtain the phase difference and estimate the Doppler frequency offset. Without additional pilot data, it can improve the frequency offset tracking speed in fast time-varying channel environment, and the estimation range can reach one subcarrier spacing, which can support the Doppler frequency offset estimation requirements at the maximum moving speed of 1200km/h.
