Wave Propagation In Three-Dimensional Cubic Quasicrystal Multilayered Plate

Quasicrystal (QC) laminates have attracted tremendous attention of researchers in term of its unusual properties. In this paper, the wave propagation of three-dimensional (3D) cubic QC laminates is studied. Based on the extended pseudo-Stroh formula, the general solutions of the extended displacements and stresses in any homogeneous layer are obtained. Furthermore, the field components at the upper and lower interface of each layer are investigated by the propagator matrix method. Then combined with boundary conditions and interface continuity conditions, the accurate solution of the 3D cubic QC laminate is derived. In the cases studies, the effects of the stacking sequence on the dispersion curves of the layered structure are numerically discussed.
