Dynamic Analysis Of Self-Powered Piezoelectric Nanobeam Under Multiple Physical Fields

The vibration analysis of piezoelectric nanobeams under thermal-mechanical-electrical multiple physical fields is performed that aims to be a self-powered component of medical nanorobots. Instead of the frequently used nonlocal theory, a nonlocal strain gradient theory is adopted in the present study, of which the latter has one more internal characteristic scale, and both the nonlocal effect of the higher-order strain gradient and the gradient effect of nonlocal stress are considered. By combining the nonlocal piezoelectric equation with the strain gradient relationship, the governing equation of motion is derived via Hamilton's principle. Using the differential quadrature method, the numerical solutions are acquired by assuming the forms of displacement and electric potential. The parametric studies are conducted to demonstrate the influence of key factors such as the nonlocal parameter, strain gradient parameter, temperature change, axial compressive force and voltage on the dimensionless natural frequency. The results show that both the internal characteristic scales and the external physical parameters significantly affect the vibration behaviors of the piezoelectric nanostructures. The research could be a direct foundation for the realization and optimization of self-powered nano-medical robots.
