Simulation of the Application of Compressive Sensing to Ultrasound Total Focusing Method Imaging

In order to lower the sampling rate and to reduce the huge amount of data in imaging of phased array total focus method, an ultrasound detection imaging method is proposed which is based on compressive sensing. The “analog-information converter” (AIC) is introduced into ultrasonic phased array total focus method imaging system, which could recover the original images with a reduced amount of data at a low sampling rate. The echo signal is sparsity sampled by a modified Analog-to-Information converter. And then s'it reconstructed by OMP algorithm and the final ultrasound imaging would be achieved. The echo data from the phased array is simulated in Field II. The simulation results show that the reconstructed images are as good as the original ones. The results show that by introducing the modified AIC system, the ultrasonic phased array total focus method imaging data could be compressed sampled, which break the Nyquist law. The recovered image could restore the detection image to the same extent at a compression rate of 89%, which could greatly reduce the sampling rate and total data volume of the ultrasonic detection system.
