Reconfigurable and Deployable Miura-Ori RA Analysis for Satellite Applications

A foldable reconfigurable ReflectArray antenna (RA) based on the Miura-Ori origami pattern is presented for CubeSat deep space communications. Designed at 8.425 GHz, the RA is capable of operating with a single beam as well as dual beams. The beamscanning capabilities are a function of the aperture fold θ_a and are showcased using a time saving analytical model.
