The Evolution of Competition and Cooperation for Cloud Ecosystem: A Niche Theory Perspective

The cloud ecosystem becomes a new trend, which makes the competition of cloud providers has gradually evolved into the competition among cloud ecosystems. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the competition and cooperation relationship among participants in ecosystem and its impact on the sustainable development, gives growth strategies for cloud providers in fierce environment. The study analyses the structure and the main relations in cloud ecosystem. Through discussing the calculation methods of niche breadth and overlap degree, it establishes a dynamic evolution model of competition and cooperation among the main enterprises. According to an empirical analysis of cloud providers in Ali Cloud ecosystem, it shows the evolution law of the competition and cooperation.
