Fuzzy C-Means Clustering based Identification of Indian Common Non-Leafy Vegetables

Agriculture is the backbone of India. There are a number of vegetables and fruits that are found with different types of characteristic. In this category leafy and Non-leafy vegetables are found. Number of leafy and Non-leafy vegetables are identified and classified. In this proposed system we address the identification of non-leafy vegetable grown in India. By extracting the color's RGB & HSV features the classification is performed by applying the proposed method on 250 leafy images of 5 different clustered types of vegetables. The image enhancement is performed using HSV filter and the background is segmented with the threshold and morphological operation. A different technique is proposed for identification of fruit and vegetable classification and get clear image recognition of leaves using KNN classifiers. Probabilities of Neural Network framework are used to differentiate the different kinds of vegetables and they are identified on the basis of color and texture features. The experimental results achieved the accuracy of 95% using KNN and 98% using PNN.
