Julia-based high-performance electromagnetic transient simulation method and platform for large power grid

With the development of the integration of power system transmission and distribution, the dimension of the power grid is getting higher and higher, and the requirements for the accuracy and real-time performance of the electromagnetic transient simulation of the power grid are also getting higher and higher. The demands for more efficient hardware platforms and higher parallel electromagnetic transient simulation algorithm framework are increasing. In order to solve this problem, this paper is inspired by the fine-grained parallel simulation method in the large-scale integrated circuit design, and proposes a component-level fine-grained parallel solving algorithm for the network side, and then combines it with the massive computing unit of the GPU to make the simulation efficiency more, which will make the simulation efficiency basically not affected by the simulation scale. After verifying the accuracy of the algorithm, the simulation efficiency is tested with the existing high-performance integrated development environment. Through the comparison of different development environments, the superiority of the algorithm in the Julia environment is verified. At the same time, taking advantages of the CPU's complex computing capabilities, a decoupling algorithm based on CPU-GPU co-simulation is proposed. And the stability of the decoupling system is analyzed after the generator is connected, which verifies the scalability of the decoupling algorithm.
