Abstract:

The present work proposes the development of a Push-to-Talk (PTT) real-time voice transmission system through the internet between a cell phone, a PC and 2 embedded systems. The objective is to use free programming tools to develop 3 interconnected applications through channels coming from a free Amazon server, through the sending of encrypted voice on the Internet Low Bitrate Codec (iLBC); with the purpose of creating a cost-free and secure IoT communication medium. The work maintains a reliability equal to other mobile applications capable of transmitting voice in real time. The tests were carried out with an Android cell phone; a PC; and 2 embedded systems; in this case an Orange Pi Zero with the H3Droid operating system and a Cubieboard version 1.0.
