Dielectric characteristics of Cu modified Z-type planar hexaferrite

The effect of Cu modification on dielectric properties of Z-type planar hexagonal ferrites sintered at relatively low temperatures with compositions of Ba/sub 3/Co/sub 2(1-x-y)/Cu/sub 2x/Zn/sub 2y/Fe/sub 24-/spl delta//O/sub 41/ was-investigated. Experimental results show that dielectric constant and loss tg/spl delta/ obviously degrade, dielectric relaxation peak shifts to high frequency region and resonance peaks appear in hyper frequencies. Progressive studies affirm that the improvement of dielectric and resistivity properties mainly results from the decrease of the number of Fe/sup 2+/ ions.
