Survey on Perceptions of College Students for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Based on Social Network Analysis

Innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges in China are getting popularity. What kind of perceptual features do college students have for innovation and entrepreneurship? Using the method of social network analysis and taking all members of the team participating in the innovation and entrepreneurship competition of China Agricultural University in 2020 as the interviewees, this paper studies the perception of college students for innovation and entrepreneurship, including the perception of entrepreneurial ability structure and social support network perception. Through the degree centrality analysis of questionnaire data by UCINET, the results show that college students who participate in innovation and entrepreneurship practice have a higher awareness of the importance of public relations ability, market development ability, and resource allocation ability in the entrepreneurial ability structure. Regarding the perception of social support networks, the highest degree of centrality is all kinds of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions or practical projects, followed by family support networks such as entrepreneurial partners and entrepreneurial mentors.
