Review on Compressors based Approximate Multipliers Design

This article gives the information based on design of various approximate multipliers along with the applications. For the design of approximate multipliers, some suggested compressors consisting of planes with different certainties or accuracies are taken into consideration. These multipliers can be compared with some of the characteristics like lesser delay, smaller area, and less power consumption in order to get the final good yield. Based on these parameters any kind of multipliers can be designed. Here the different compressors like 4-2 compressors, 5-2 compressors, compressors based on area efficient and high speed are discussed in this review paper. Also, the applications of approximate multipliers are discussed. Some of the applications include error-tolerant, image processing, structure of JPEG encoder etc. Finally, the article will be going to discuss on the possible constructs of compressor and the determining the inaccuracy which can be used for better design issues.
