Watermarking E-Government Document Images Using the Discrete Wavelets Transform and Schur Decomposition

This paper describes and efficient digital watermarking algorithm that will provide copyright protection to e-government document images. The proposed algorithm is based on utilizing two frequency domain transforms: the discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) and the Schur transform. The unique characteristics of e-government document images are taken into consideration in order to embed the watermark in a robust and imperceptible manner. The performance of the proposed DWT-Schur based algorithm is evaluated with respect to robustness. The results show that the proposed algorithm produces robustness against Gaussian noise attacks.
