Navigational Information as the Basis for Constructing an Econometric Model for Evaluating the Factors of Transport Operation

The article is devoted to the analysis of official statistical data on the number of passengers carried on various modes of transport, in order to identify the factors that affect the differences in the dynamics of passenger traffic. The distribution of passenger flows across the subjects of the Russian Federation is carried out, focused on determining the degree of influence of regional development on passenger transportation by road. The method of collecting the actual indicators of passenger movement on road transport is considered. As sources of primary information, it is proposed to use the equipment of on-board navigation and communication equipment with a GLONASS/GPS module with an antenna. The processing of navigation data and the formation of information about the transport process along the route at each stop allows you to simulate the process. It becomes possible to analyze traffic in detail on the map of the route network in the context of belonging to certain transport systems. Given the fact that in practice it is difficult to collect information about all the factors in the field of passenger transportation, and it is often impossible to obtain them in full, as well as these factors do not have a functional relationship, it is proposed to evaluate the statistical performance of passenger transport through the use of econometric models that are amenable to the necessary adjustments and take into account non-functional relationships of influencing factors.
