Comparative study of LSC and X-ray measurements of Nb-93m

Comparison of two approaches for measurement of
^93m
Nb was made to serve as a base for evaluation of new radiochemical procedures for precise sample preparation. Newly available materials for radiochemical separation of important nuclides will be used in these procedures. The 93mNb samples were irradiated using continuous energy neutron flux. The specific activities are measured using liquid scintillation counting and X-ray spectrometry. The results agree within the measurement error and may serve as base for evaluation of further activities in applying new materials for radiochemical separation of natural and technogenic radionuclides important for the environment.
