Exact Formulation for Analysis of Media With Simultaneous Inhomogeneity and Anisotropy Characteristics

A novel analytic method for the analysis of anisotropic inhomogeneous media is addressed. Although separate studies have conclusively studied anisotropic media and inhomogeneous media, it would still be favorable to develop methods that can take into account, both anisotropy and inhomogeneity at the same time. In this letter, Taylor's series expansion is applied to solve Maxwell's equations in this context. For validation three supporting examples are presented. Being fast, robust, and exact features, this method is a good candidate for design and optimization problems in engineering applications especially with real-world data.
