Design of Block Coding 4B/5B for Digital Communication using Quantum-dot Cellular Automata Technology

No doubt complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) is one of the promising technology for circuit design but CMOS comes with its own flaws. The upcoming technologies maybe in used to improvise the comprehensive efficiency of the circuits and systems. In this regard, an alternative computing platform quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) has been a lesser known yet effective nanoscale technology that has emerged with its own set of qualities like being faster, having denser circuit, erase and ultra-low power consumption. It is becoming quite popular in modern time and is compressible to the existing technologies of today. In this paper, block coding 4B/5B is implemented in QCA technology and verified the functionality using QCA designer tool.
