Abstract:

The industrial revolution, increase in population and urbanization have induced the increase in air pollution which has made a call to monitor air quality in educational institutions aiding in a smooth teaching and learning process. Internet of Things which is an emerging crosscutting technology is finding its use in each and every sector. In this system it is proposed to acquire sensor data from the educational institution in this case Chancellor College. The developed prototype monitored environmental parameters namely temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, LPG smoke and alcohol which comprise in air quality. The sensor data is transmitted from the sensor node to the blynk servers through WI-FI and accessed anywhere in the world through the blynk app.
