Low Cost IoT Application Using Onion Omega2+

Technology introduces us to various microcontrollers and microprocessors which can subscribe and publish data to various cloud platforms. Problem arises in remote areas such as forests and under-developed areas because of poor Internet connectivity. In this project we used Onion Omega2+ which is an IoT computer with well-built processor in it. It has linux kernel that provides the bridge between the applications and hardware processes. Onion Omega2+ is capable of connecting to various cloud platforms so as to control many number of appliances from any part of the world and send data to cloud. In this board, MySQL server can be installed and used so that if there is a problem with Internet connectivity, data can be stored in MySQL Server thus resulting in no data loss.
