Classification of Mobile Healthcare App Research

This paper examines the state of the research in the field of Mobile Healthcare. Seven papers retrieved from ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore were classified into mainly four categories which are Direct patient care, Staff efficiency, Communication, and Data processing. Here, Communication includes two sub categories which are communication of collected health data and communication of information that means communication between healthcare provider and the patient. Based on this literature review, we conclude this a very fast changing field. It requires wide range of knowledge about data science, medical, and computer science. A successful implementation of mobile health care system can improve overall experience of healthcare system for both patients and healthcare providers. Moreover, there is a need for additional complex research in the areas like machine learning, data management, and cloud computing.
