Design and Simulation of a Semi Controlled Full Bridge and Its Control Circuit

In this paper, we design the LC filter for the desired output ripple voltage and the control circuit and simulated it to observe the output wave shape. First we find out the value of L of RL load then we find the value of C of RLC load of the full-bridge rectifier. All calculations are done in the continuous mode of conduction. Secondly, we designed the SCRs gate driver control circuit. Generating the pulses, we applied it to the gate through the transformer to provide ground isolation to each of the SCR. Simulated results show an excellent agreement with the theory. We also calculated the power factor and the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the circuit.
