Development and Analysis of the Automated Electric Drive System for Heating Furnace Pusher

The article discusses the development of the electric drive of furnace pusher system and implementation of various control algorithms for raw material delivering to the heating furnace. The research paper analyzes load diagrams of working body. It allows to make a rational choice of the electromechanical and mechanical converters and evaluate motor speed and torque. Main electrical equipment such as motor choke, line choke, frequency converter, fuses and load break switch are selected for designed electric drive. The comparison between results and available manufacture data is made. It is confirmed that applied methods are used correctly. The evaluation of bearing and windage losses was made for different angular velocities. Having calculated the transient responses for forward and reverse movement, the research team confirmed that designed electric drive meet all presented requirements. The control algorithms for heating furnace equipment are implemented using Ladder diagram language.
