Machine Learning-based Pharmaceutical Tablet Inspection and Recognition Techniques – A Review

This paper reviews various methods to analyse pharmaceutical tablets specifically in non-clustered environments. The machine learning techniques analysed here aim to inspect and identify them based on various parameters. The paper compares deep learning and machine learning techniques in the current state-of-art. The methods analyzed find application in the tablet production industry, drug identification by customers and packaging industry.
