Near-field Aperture Distribution Measurement of 8×2-element 60-GHz-Band Circularly Polarized Post-Wall Waveguide Dipole Loaded Slot Arrays

An 8×2-element 60-GHz-band circularly polarized post-wall waveguide dipole loaded slot array has been characterized by near-field antenna measurement. The antenna is composed of two substrate layers and one has feeding waveguides and slots and the other has dipole arrays. This antenna is fabricated by printed circuit technology. The near-field antenna measurement shows that the non-uniform amplitude and phase distribution decrease directivity and bandwidth of the directivity.
