A Study on Indoor Human Moving Route Estimation using Several Receivers of 920 MHz Band Radio Waves

There is a growing need for estimation of human movement route in a room for crime prevention, monitoring of the elderly, the workers’ situation. This study aims to realize human movement route estimation using radio waves, by focusing on the changes in the wave propagation affected by human motion. This paper proposes a method of estimating the human moving route in a room using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) of 920 MHz band radio waves. We performed empirical evaluations of the proposed system with one transmitter and four receivers.
