Simulation Results of Satellite AIS when Utilizing Khatri-Rao (KR) Product Array Processing

Future ship detection by satellite will require the provision of more value-added observations in addition to constellation services. Such SAT-SAR missions as ALOS-2 have the satellite AIS. These sub missions need to be more sophisticated within limited constraints. This paper describes KR product array processing to digital beam forming (DBF) using a sparse array AIS antenna. It also presents the highperformance of a ship's signal detection with simulated signal collision using a ship position model.
