A Half-cut Miniaturized Ceramic Dielectric Filled Cavity Filter

This paper designs a miniaturized half-cut dielectric-filled cavity filter. It is different from the traditional cavity with a low dielectric constant support column supporting the upper dielectric cylinder structure with a high dielectric constant. In this paper, the dielectric resonator is composed of a solid cavity of ceramic dielectric with high dielectric constant and a layer of metal material coated on the outer surface of the dielectric. The bottom of the ceramic dielectric material is dug out a cylinder to form a resonant column with adjustable resonance frequency, and the outer surface is filled with metallic material silver. Acts as a shielding layer on the surface of the dielectric resonator. In order to further reduce the size of the filter on the basis of the miniaturization of the dielectric resonator, this design adopts a half-cut resonant column, which is miniaturized at the cost of slightly reducing the quality factor. Compared with the complete cylindrical resonant column, the volume can be reduced. Reduce by 30%. After electromagnetic software HFSS design and verification, a sixth-order band pass filter is obtained.
