Super-Twisting Sliding Mode Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Predictive Adaptive Law

Due to internal parameters of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) change, the precision and robustness of the PMSM will decrease, a Super-twisting sliding mode control strategy based on predictive adaptive law is proposed to solve the above problems. Firstly, a Super-twisting sliding mode controller is designed to replace the traditional PI controller, and its high-order performance can effectively reduce the chattering of the system and the influence of the observation error. Meanwhile, a predictive adaptive law is designed to eliminate the influence of uncertainties and to suppress the speed fluctuation, to improve the anti-disturbance ability of the system. The convergence and robustness of the designed strategy are proved by Lyapunov. Finally, the simulation results showed that the novel Super-twisting sliding mode controller could track the speed command quickly and accurately, and had a better dynamic response and stronger anti-disturbance ability compared with the traditional controller. The accuracy and robustness of PMSM are effectively improved. This control strategy is feasible and effective.
