Research on Thrust Allocation Method of Semi-submersible Drilling Platform Based on Improved Cuckoo Search Algorithm

The thrust allocation problem of the dynamic positioning system for semi-submersible drilling platform can be modeled as a nonlinear optimization problem. Because this problem is non-convex and has a lot of parameters, it is suitable to be solved by using swarm intelligence algorithm. Based on the characteristics of the thrust allocation problem, this paper optimizes the "discovery" parameter of the cuckoo search algorithm and uses the improved cuckoo search algorithm to solve the thrust allocation problem of the semi-submersible drilling platform. The results show that compared with genetic algorithm and cuckoo search algorithm, the improved cuckoo search algorithm has faster convergence speed and higher convergence accuracy.
