Application of BDS in Deformation Monitoring for Gas Insulated Switchgear

Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to obtain the complete and timely device status information of gas-insulated switchgear for traditional methods in deformation monitoring, leading to unable to accurately control the device, which will influence the substation's safe operation for sure, the paper proposed to use BDS independently developed by China to realize the intelligent detection of the gas-insulated switchgear, and designed a BDS deformation monitoring system for the gas-insulated switchgear of the EHV substation. The experimental result showed that the proposed system could efficiently monitor and pre-warn the deformation of the device.
