Finite element study of thermal flow gyroscope

In this paper, a novel thermal flow gyroscope is proposed and its sensitive mechanism is revealed. By means of finite element method, COMSOL Multiphysics was used to calculate the temperature field variation of the sensitive element of the gyroscope with or without angular velocity. The results show that the thermal flow gyroscope has the gyroscope effect. Within the angular velocity range of ±20rad/s, the proportional coefficient k between the input angular velocity and the output voltage is 0.005 V/rad/s, the sensitivity is 5.29×10

V/rad/s, and the nonlinearity is 6.81%. This study lays a theoretical foundation for the subsequent structural improvement and performance optimization.
