Magnetic Signature Measurement of Surface Ship Using a ROV-equipped with Magnetometer

At present, it is widely applied to measure the magnetic physics field of a surface ship in a fixed magnetometer array. This measurement method has high accuracy. However, this requires the surface hull to sail to the periphery of the fixed magnetometer array, which increases the time and cost of ship's magnetic physics field measurement and reduces the flexibility of ship's magnetic physics field measurement. Considering that ROV has high flexibility and load capacity, ROV magnetic field measurement system is proposed. Among them, the fluxgate sensor and the cesium optical pump probe are used for simultaneous magnetic field measurement; the multi-point underwater acoustic positioning method is used to accurately locate the ROV. A water surface platform with coils was used as the experimental test object. The experiment includes the magnetic measurement of the coil not energized and energized. The ROV magnetic measurement system was used to measure the magnetic physical field under the keel of the water surface platform in the above two cases, and the deviation between the total magnetic field of the fluxgate and the total magnetic field of the optical pump was analyzed. The magnetic anomaly value of the energized coil at 4m underwater is calculated. The error between the theoretical value and actual measured value of the magnetic anomaly of the energized coil is analyzed.
