Actual Measurement and Evaluation of Electromagnetic Environment for the Moving Maglev Train

The electromagnetic radiation safety of the moving maglev train to surrounding environment and residential area has been paid more and more attention. In this paper, the external electromagnetic radiation of the maglev train in the state of acceleration climbing and high speed travelling is measured by using the sensor method and the receiving antenna method. The assessment model is given and the electromagnetic environment evaluation is carried out based on IEEE-Std-C95.1-2005,IEEE-Std-C95.6-2002,ICNIRP-2010 and GB8702-2014, The results show that in the frequency band of 1Hz to100kHz, the magnetic field of the maglev train is less than 70mA/m and in the band of 9kHz to 18GHz, the electric field is no more than 0.20V/m at the distance of 10 meters when the train passes by, which is far lower than the limit of relevant electromagnetic environment control standard. To our knowledge, this is the first time to present the actual measurement and evaluation of electromagnetic environment for the moving maglev train. The research work of this paper can provide data support for the reliable location and construction of new high-speed maglev train.
