Low Profile High Gain and Compact Planar Antenna Array for 60 GHz Radars

Two kinds of 60 GHz integrated planar patch array antennas with high gain and low profile are designed and implemented on Rogers3003 substrate. The antennas have the advantages of low profile, high isolation, and low insertion loss, both antennas have a gain of about 12 dBi, radiation efficiencies are 91% and 93%, bandwidths (|S11|<; -10 dB) are 7.2% and 5.1% for the overall antenna layout design, and used as transmitting antennas and receiving antennas respectively. Among them, the use s distribution to obtain the characteristics of low sidelobe and high gain.
