Balanced SIW BPF based on Through-Glass Vias

A balanced substrate integrated waveguide bandpass filter (SIW BPF) based on stacked through-glass via (TGV) tehnology is proposed in this letter to reduce the noise caused by common mode (CM) signals. The wide passband is constructed by differential mode signals of TE
₁₀₂
in SIW cavities. The accurate wideband equivalent circuit model beginning from the three order Chebyshev low-pass filter to the final optimized SIW BPF are established by the ADS software, which accords well with the 3D full-wave EM field simulation of Ansoft's HFSS with the operating frequencies up to 180 GHz.
