Performance indicators of models of non-binary control automates

Models of control automata and types of their behavior in the system are considered. The concept of functional and technological behavior of the automata is defined. Indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of control automata by the number of possible types of behavior and the number of elements of the FSM with equivalent behavior are proposed. Examples of a comparative evaluation of models of automata according to the proposed indicators are shown. They showed that control automata with non-binary elements of their sets are more efficient. A nonbinary automata simulator program has been developed and used to model behavior.
