Since the Founding of New China, the English Literature on the Progress of Martial Arts Research and Hot Sports‐‐‐‐‐Based on the Web of Science Core Collection Database Literature

As one of the outstanding representatives of Chinese traditional culture, martial arts has attracted the attention and research of many heterogeneous cultures in many exchanges with countries or regions outside the country. Using the methods of literature, mathematical statistics, software-assisted analysis, etc, based on the English literature data on martial arts research in the core of the web of science, the obtained materials are analyzed statistically, and the progress and hot spots of martial arts research are found. The study holds that: The proportion of Chinese scholars in the total amount of English literature is relatively high, but the individual amount of scholars' text, the author of the article is cited, and the total number of periodicals are not satisfactory. The research of English scholars mainly focuses on the present situation, problems, coping strategies and functions of martial arts, the reform of martial arts teaching, sports injury in martial arts, the role of physiology and psychology in martial arts, etc, but the basic theory of martial arts is rare.
